Current medical research estimates that 90% of low back pain is “non-specific” meaning there is no direct and specific diagnosis. During periods of prolonged back pain, deep stabilizing muscles of the low back become weak and marbled with fatty deposits. It is currently thought that these weak and fatty muscles contribute to continuing pain and dysfunction. At Spokane Spine Center we have the ability to target these deep muscle groups and stabilize them for increased function and endurance. If your back frequently “goes out” you may have a weak spine, which is susceptible to continuous flare ups. Let’s get started today!
